Gap Kids

This is the window for Gap Kids. Normally I wouldn't post a window for a children's store because I wouldn't be shopping here. However, I think this uses the principles of design very well. The jeans hanging obviously give the emphasis of the window and the rhythm. The fact that it is colors and florals which are also big for the 2013 spring season, gives this window unity. There's also really good proportion of this window. The pants are not overshadowing the outfits that have been put together on the mannequins. The advantages of this window are that with the outfits already put together, it will draw in the mother. Also, it is written right on the window that they are on sale. This will also draw in customers. Something the designer of the window could have done differently would maybe be to putting the mannequins in positions to show durability of clothing and stretch. This is what parents look for in children's clothing.
