Gap

Gap alwys has pretty good windows. Wowever, this one, I do not like. The signage can barely be seen because of the color and placement. They are advertising shorts but then the mannequin has on pants. I think this gives out a confusing message. Even if there was some sort of background to this window it couldbe a little bit beter. Also, I don't think it uses any of the 5 Principles of design very well.

Winodw

This window is very balanced. I like the fact that the colors are all different. It makes the window not so boring. The flowers on the wall in the back are something that will make the customer stop and look. They also have good placement of the sale sign, it's not covering any of the display and it's out of the way. I think the flowers also give this window some rhythm by connecting front and back.

Francescas

This window does a good job with balance. Pretty much everythingis at eye level so that customers walking by are able to see it. The table is at perfect height and items are displayed neatly. I wish they would put a back drop behind this windo to separate it from the store. I think that woud make it much more effective. Other than that, thi window is really cute and put together.

Brighton

I love this display! It's so adorable and it displays the items so well. It's very creative and unique. The balance is really good because it draws your eyes almost everywhere as you look at the window. It has really good rhythm as well. I also like that there is no signage for this window because i think that it would take away from the window.

Fossil

Fossil is not your typical clothing store so it has to be different when it comes to advertising in a window. Since they are selling smaller products they need to be up higher in order for the customer to see it. They have done a great job of doing that by using a large, tall table. This brings the products to eye level so it will catch more attention than if it was down lower. They have also displayed there merchandise very neatly on the table so it is not all cluttered or too crowded.

Forever 21 (April)

As stated in the last Forever post, I really do enjoy their windows. They are so bright and moved away from the store. They always display really great colors. Here they are displaying the two most popular colors of the season, mint and tangerine. Showing off these colors along with shoppers knowing the "in" colors will make them want to go into the store to search for more items of the same colors.

Arden B

This window is from Arden B and does a good job of putting color right up from so it catches the eye. There is also a sales sign which will draw people into the store. This window has good balance. If you notice the length of the dresses get longer from left to right. They also have a white placed in between two orange dresses. This helps add rhythm as well.

Coach

This window is from Coach. I think it does a great job of proportion. Its the perfect size for the window. This store is not one that's super crowded. There is minimal merchandise inside so it makes sense that their windows would be minimalistic. Not that coach needs help getting people into their store, but they always have the cutest purses advertised which draws the eye and lures people in.

Loft

I'm not toally a fan of this window. I do believe that it had balance and proportion but it wouldn't make me want to go into the store. It's really hard to see the display from the outside of the store as well as the signage. The sale sign might be the only thing that would make a customer want to go in and look around.

Armani

This windo in Orland Square Mall is from Armani. I think it does a very good job of displaying what it's advertising. The rack on the side of the display shows off all of the different colors and styles and makes customers want to enter the store. I haven't done any male directed windows but I really feel like this would even get men to walk into this store. And the fact that the sinage is advertising that it is a multi-short will also help draw men in.
